Sea of Stars

The maiden of the stars
watches over the the children.
With twinkling hope,
away in their haven,
the star kids grow
so they might grant some wishes.

But one little star just couldn't grant a wish,
so she took him to a place
where the cosmos poured 
into the shapes of fish.
They'd swim and dance
up in the night sky,
painting a spectrum of colors,
spectacular hues of wonder and light.

So the beautiful maiden and the tiny little star,
rode on the back of a dolphin from Mars,
and they danced until the star was no longer afraid,
to grant the wishes of those who's hearts were in pain.

And so the little star sent blessings to all those below,
who looked at the sky full of wonder and hope,
and the maiden looked on proudly and called upon the fish,
to swim with the star children whenever they wished.
